Nothing to report ...
Let us know what is happening in your Democratic County, even if it is nothing.
Folks are showing up to sign up, demanding change, but the establishment has been sending people running in all directions — so much so that even Bernie is talking about leaving the Democratic Party.
What The New York Times wants us, the leftists, to do is exactly what the liberal Democrats want: leave the party!
Those urging us to leave the Democratic Party are often Republicans who switched to the Democrats because the fascists forced them out of their own party.
We need to reclaim our Democratic Party, and we’re not going down without a fight.
Joe from Nassau County is feeling the pain of standing alone. (If you’d like to send him a note of support, we’ve set up an email where you can send him messages of solidarity: joeinnassau@activist.socialists.us)
The Nassau county democratic meeting tonight left me feeling incredibly demotivated, unwanted and feeling like total shit, one or two other people noticed the way I was treated. I was basically told off and made to feel like shit for attempting to petition to run for committee. They also hinted at disqualifying me and negating any signatures I get. I am unsure if I will continue to petition, as I'm doing this ALONE and it is painful and putting myself at risk as I live in a very pro Trump area. Then add in that I have zero support from the Local democratic meetings after attending a few of them now. So I am at a crossroads of what I should do... if I do drop out, I will send thank you letters and an explanation of my reasoning for dropping to those very few who were kind enough to sign the petition. But I have to make a decision, and I'm unsure of what to do, I just know that if I attend another meeting and leave feeling like shit, then I will likely lose interest in politics as a whole.
This is how many leftist activists feel, and it’s understandable why they’d want to quit. But unless we have at least three dedicated activists in each of the 3,269 counties across the U.S. to reclaim the Democratic Party, nothing will change.
Don’t expect the liberals to stop moving the goalposts every time we score a victory — they did it in Nevada, where they funneled $200,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
We aren’t in this for the money; we’re here for the power to influence the appointments Party Chairs make to the Democratic National Convention.
We are not after the money but after the appointment Party Chairs makes in the Democratic National Convention.
If you know any Democrats in New York State, have them send an email to draftaoc@register.repmyblock.org and help collect a few signatures in their county.
Zohran Mamdani, who is currently being slammed by the fascist New York Post, was advised by the director of the PBS documentary to incorporate the Democratic County Committee into his mayoral strategy — but he chose to ghost him instead.
All we can do now is keep recruiting leftists to join the Draft AOC movement until we can find three Democrats in each county.
In solidarity,
Hasta la victoria, ¡siempre!
