We need to be loud and ready to brawl ...
I wrote a detailed update on the New York City municipal campaign for the Social Democratic mailing list. If you're interested, you can find it here.
Next week, I will discuss three examples of Democratic meetings. If you're organizing publicly, please send me links to relevant photos so I can help amplify them.
The California ADEMs - Vote in Person
Online registration to vote for the California ADEMs has closed, but in-person registration remains open until February 23rd, 2025, for those voting on February 22nd or 23rd.
You can find your polling location here: https://adem.cadem.org/where-to-vote. Californians can register to vote in person by visiting https://ademelections.com/register/person before February 23rd, 2025.
The Progressive Delegates Network has also released a list of endorsed progressive candidates for California voters, which you can find here: https://progressivedelegatesnetwork.vote/find-your-candidates.

Alan Minsky of the Progressive Democrats of America was in New York
We discussed how to get more progressives actively engaged in the Democratic Party.
He was recently in Washington, D.C., to witness the election of the National Democratic Party Chair.
We need to apply the same level of organization at the local level, ensuring that AOC-aligned candidates have representation in every County Democratic Party.
You can watch a replay of the PDA national call, which had over 500 participants, where they reviewed what happened inside the Democratic Party.
Israel Armstead of the Justice For All National Party
Israel Armstead of the Justice For All National Party joined a meeting at Grand Central Station, which was a valuable learning experience.
It highlighted the challenges faced by grassroots organizers and the ways in which the Democratic Party has worked to vilify their efforts.
These lessons are critical as we continue to build our movement and ensure progressive voices cannot be ignored.
Call to Action
A volunteer has stepped up to manage the Draft AOC Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/draftaoc.
This is a fantastic start, but we need more support! We have other social media platforms that require regular updates with engaging content to recruit new volunteers. If you're interested in moderating and managing these accounts, please reach me via email.
We also need advocates in every county to champion AOC's cause. Please forward this email to others and encourage them to register at draftaoc@register.repmyblock.org. Don't forget to remind them to check their spam folders!
This week has been slow as we still have 145 activists have registered with Draft AOC, but only 17 have completed the full email registration process. Let's push these numbers higher!

Volunteer Opportunities
We urgently need volunteers to:
Maintain and update the website.
Create reports like this one.
Keep Wikipedia pages (https://wiki.draftaoc.us) current.
Manage and organize various Facebook pages and groups.
I will continue sending out brief weekly updates until someone volunteers to compile them into a comprehensive report each Sunday.
Thank you for being part of this critical movement. Together, we can build a real path forward.
In solidarity,
Hasta la victoria, ¡siempre!
Theo Chino,
Committee of the Second Socialist International.
Acting First National Secretary of the Social Democrats of America
